CCYOGA Team

PictureBrittany Hopkins - Owner
Brittany Hopkins is owner of and teacher at Container Collective Yoga. As a YACEP E-RYT 500 and 1200 Hour Certified Tier 3 Baptiste Yoga Instructor who has been teaching movement since 1998, she creates space for students to feel comfortable and confident to stretch and move beyond their imagination on and off their yoga mats.
With a background as a professional dancer and dance instructor, her yoga classes are fun, fluid, and challenging, and they inspire students to embody a sense of ease and unconditional love that impact their lives outside of the studio.
She is also trained in Yoga Nidra ("Yogic Sleep") and Silver Sneakers Chair Yoga and is a social impact leader with the Baptiste Foundation. She is a mother & has two border collie/Aussie mixes.

Fun fact: She received a ticket to Vegas on the show So You Think You Can Dance in 2008.

PictureCourtney Boland - Studio Director & Business Management
Courtney found Baptiste Yoga in Buffalo, NY a little over six years ago. Never having set foot in a yoga studio before, she was terrified of what was to come! Surprisingly, she found she was smiling through the confusion, sweat, and tears and never stepped foot off her mat after that. Coming to her mat 5-6 times a week, she found a love for her community;it has led her to attend over six 40 Days programs and complete Level One in 2019, Art of Assisting, and Art of True North Alignment. She currently holds a Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor Credential.
Courtney is also the woman behind the social media & the Studio Director for Container Collective Yoga. She assists a wide variety of classes, leads CC Chats, and teaches powerful flow classes.
When she isn’t in the studio, she can be found experimenting in the kitchen, playing with her two mutts, exploring Colorado, or working on her small business.

PictureHaley Bowden - Client Management & Communications
Haley is originally from Appleton, WI and moved to Colorado about three years ago on a whim. In doing so, she decided to take her love of yoga to the next level and signed up for teacher training. When looking for where to take her training, she landed on a Baptiste studio and immediately fell in love with the breath and flow of the practice. After her 200 hour training was over, she searched endlessly for her yoga home and found The Container Collective Yoga and Bikes. She fell in love with the community of people, as well as Baptiste Yoga & the heat.
Haley is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance Certified teacher with about 200 hours of teaching, and she is in charge of Client Management & Communications at Container Collective Yoga and Bikes.
When she is not teaching yoga, you can find her rock climbing and hiking in the mountains.

PictureHeidi Schumacher - Community Care Coordinator
Heidi is a Colorado native who found a love for yoga when searching for a new way to stay fit. She was hooked after just a few classes and completed her RYT 200 certification in early 2017.Heidi hopes to bring a fun and powerful practice to her students. She feels yoga is a great way to escape the daily grind and invest in oneself, and she hopes to empower any level yogi to do just that. She incorporates essential oils into her classes and workshops to bring a whole new experience to the yoga practice. She'll encourage you to push your limits and have fun while you increase your physical and mental strength.
At a young age, Heidi recognized her passion and love for animals. Working in the veterinary field in emergency and critical care for over a decade, she gets to feed that passion by working with and caring for animals and their people. She lives in Lakewood with her dog, Maddie, and cat, Sully. She loves everything the Colorado outdoors has to offer, as well as traveling and exploring new places and trying out new cuisine.

PictureMel Shaver In Studio Team Trainer
Mel is originally from Atlanta. She has been practicing Baptiste yoga at Container Collective for three years and teaching JIP for two of them. She completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2018.
What she loves most about CCYOGA is the connection and the empowerment that the community supports. She strives to hold a non-judgmental space for students of all backgrounds and experience levels. Yoga should be fun! She likes to bring lightness and laughter into her classes.
She has a 10-year-old black lab/Great Dane mix named Oscar who she adores, and she enjoys writing comedy. She looks forward to seeing students all on their mats!

PictureVanessa Parrish
Vanessa has been practicing Baptiste Power Yoga for eight years. From Nashville, Tennessee, Vanessa completed teacher training at a Baptiste certified studio that is located there in addition to Baptiste’s Art of Assisting Program. When she moved to Denver five years ago, she started teaching at Container Collective Yoga and has been in love with the community ever since.
Her classes are designed to leave students extra sweaty and wildly inspired—both on and off the mat. In addition to loving yoga, Vanessa is a food enthusiast and loves to travel. When she isn’t cooking or planning her next adventure across the ocean, she can be found enjoying the Colorado sunshine with her husband, daughter, and two fluffy dogs.

PictureMeghan Trujillo
Meghan is one of our Denver natives and found Baptiste power flow and an amazing community at Container Collective Yoga. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with us in 2017, currently holds a Baptiste Yoga Teacher Credential, and has been trained in Baptiste Art of Assisting as well.
She loves animals and currently has a rescue corgi, Wookie. During her free time, she hikes, walks, swims, gardens, and cooks delicious food.
She also works as a chemical engineer, so balance in her life is very important. Since she has had several injuries and surgeries, she is fascinated with anatomy and has taken additional anatomy-focused classes, exploring more deeply how muscles, fascia, ligaments, and tendons interact as we move. She brings this into class by focusing on alignment, as well as empowering people to modify as needed for their body in the moment.

PictureKristin Hanna
Kristin first started practicing yoga in the summer of 2016. She had just moved to Avon, Colorado from Bellevue, Nebraska & was invited to attend a Baptiste Power Vinyasa class by one of her coworkers. Having no expectations for what the class would bring, she was truly inspired by discovering more than just a physical practice; yoga opened the path for power & possibility in her life. This grew into a desire to share the practice of yoga with others. In 2018, Kristin completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training. A few months later, she moved & joined the Container Collective team, instantly feeling welcomed by & connected to the studio's community.
Kristin is registered through Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 and holds a Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor Credential. She has participated in three 40 Days to Personal Revolution programs & attended Art of Assisting in the fall of 2018.
Kristin works as a Technology Engineer/Acoustical Consultant at a Colorado-based engineering firm. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, rock climbing, cooking, baking, playing video games, listening to & playing music, & traveling to pop culture & anime conventions around the country. She also loves binging TV series and cuddling on the couch with her cats, Jigsaw and Nala.

PictureKris Chapman
Kris is an RYT 200, having completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Container Collective Yoga Studio in Lakewood, CO. She finds that yoga keeps her balanced in both body and mind. She has practiced yoga since 2015 and is excited to share the balance that it provides with others, especially fellow runners.
She used to think that nothing was as important as her running workouts; however, she has found that yoga and running work extremely well together in keeping both her mind and body healthy and happy. Joining Kris for a class means participating in a great workout, finding untapped strength, and maybe even learning a bit about balance, on and off the mat.

PictureJamie Martinico
Jamie is an RYT 200 & Kids Yoga Certified Teacher through Container Collective. Yoga has been an opportunity for her to focus on her self-care and personal journey to transform her life, physical body, and mental health. Jamie moved to CO in 2008 from CA and has a background in massage therapy. She brings knowledge of the body as a whole to help individuals safely create more possibilities in their practices, with integrity in each pose. Jamie empowers students to find the greatness within themselves, to take into their everyday lives. She is rarely seen without a smile on her face, sharing a laugh or a hug with a friend. She is married and has two girls (who are15 years apart) and two dogs. When she’s not busy chasing her 2-year-old around, she is growing her mala business and educating others in essential oils. She also loves to travel, see live music, check out new restaurants, and get sweaty on her mat with the amazing Container Collective Yoga community.

PictureLakken Medina
Lakken is an RYT 200 with an emphasis in Baptiste Power Yoga. She also has a bachelor's in Dance and Educational Psychology.
As a teacher, Lakken believes that movement--be it yoga, dance, exercise, etc.--is the means to bridge the gap between the mind and body. So often, the body is thought of as a vessel instead of an integral part of our whole being. She encourages others to become mindful of their bodies in order to find balance. Lakken is an insightful, grounded, and focused instructor who challenges students to find new possibilities. She likes to look at each class she leads as a playground to experiment and try new concepts and ideas. When not teaching, Lakken loves to explore new places around Denver with her friends and family.

PictureAmy Taylor-Tuma
Amy is an insightful and motivating instructor. She has been a longtime patron of Container Collective and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with the studio. Ekhi is an outdoorsy girl & you can find her biking, hiking, back country camping, or snowboarding; she is always ready to try a new adventure!

PictureElouise Thomas
Elouise is an ERYT 200 with over 1500 hours of teaching experience. Recently, she completed her 300 hr teacher training with Brittany Hopkins and is a certified 500 hr teacher. She lives in South Bend, Indiana with her husband, Jeff and dog, Stella.
She is a Registered Dietitian and Yin Teacher.
Fun fact, her sense of humor rocks and she likes for her Yin students to find their "Goldilocks" while practicing so they can surrender into total stillness.

PictureIrene Fobe
Irene is a 200 hour certified power vinyasa teacher. She has seen how yoga has carried her through and lifted her out of hard times and wants to share the tool with others. Irene acknowledges that getting to your mat as a beginner can be intimidating. She still gets nervous going to new, unfamiliar studios. She loves working with people with visible and invisible disabilities and teaches from a place of compassion and curiosity. Irene trains service dogs and loves talking about her dogs in training and her inspiring clients.

Michele Koons
Michele has practiced yoga for over 10 years and completed her 200-hour power vinyasa yoga certification in 2020 with Container Collective Yoga. As an archaeologist with a passion for discovery and sharing, she will challenge you to get curious about the possibilities of pushing boundaries on and off the mat. When not practicing yoga or contemplating the origins of civilization, Michele loves to run, hike, ski, camp, travel, and spend time with her husband, son, and Lukie the dog.

PictureAdam Switlick
Adam is a 200-hour yoga alliance certified teacher specializing in Baptiste Power Yoga.  Having moved to Denver in January, 2020, Adam began and completed his teacher training through Container Collective Yoga during a global pandemic.  He is forever grateful for the opportunity.
With a background in high impact sports as well as musical instruments, I understand how injuries and repetitive stress can lead to constant discomfort and physical/mental limitations.  The yoga mat has offered him a place to explore these sensations with focused intention and creativity, and he believes it offers all of us that opportunity regardless of experience or ability.
Power - on the mat and in life - comes from a unique combination of effort and ease; leaning into that potent combo is the focus of Adam’s classes.
