Get ready for one of the (if not THE) most incredible experiences of your life. Experience the beauty, culture and friendly people of Nepal!
March 17-April 3, 2019
Nepal is one of the most beautiful places in the world and is said to be a piece of heaven on Earth. It is covered with high mountains, including the world's highest peak Mount Everest. Not only will we see the huge mountain peaks, we will also see many lakes, rivers, and caves which are the inhabitant for varieties of wildlife and birds that we don't see in the U.S.
Nepal's cultural landscape is every bit as diverse as its physical one. Its people belong to a host of distinctive ethnic groups, and speak a host of languages. They live in everything from dense, ancient cities erupting with pagoda-roofed Hindu temples to villages perched on dizzying sweeps of rice-farming terraces and dusty highland settlements clustered around tiny monasteries.
We will be hiking mountain terrains, boating, and other adventure-related activities on water, on mountain tops and in jungles.
Nepal is one of the most peaceful, multi-religious countries in the world. Here, we find more than 125 ethnic groups with their own religious cultures, languages and lifestyles. Nepal is the holy land of Lord Pashupatinath and birth-place of Gautam Buddha. Nepal is land of God and Goddess, and one of the sacred spiritual places in the world. The country is home to many pilgrimage sites related to the two predominant religions of Nepal, Hinduism and Buddhism. You are granted a chance to trace back to the life of the founder of Buddhism in Lumbini.
Each yoga practice on our trip to Nepal will focus on bringing balance to each chakra (energy center) in our body. Planned with the intention for awareness and opening, yoga practices will be meaningful and healing on all levels. Some will happen on rooftops, some will happen on mountain tops. Most will be lead by Brittany Hopkins, although any yoga instructor on the trip will be invited to teach a class or two!
