Denver In Person- Aroma Flow Yoga Practice and Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Bath

Join us at the incredible Modern Sanctuary, a stunning and funky renovated church in the Denver RiNo Arts District for this special event.
The Vinyasa Flow is sequenced to offer an experience of the integration of essential oils, movement and breath. As the body continues to warm, it will act as its own diffuser, allowing the benefits of each oil to permeate fully. To help support the body's system to function optimally, we layer eight essential oils and blends in response to stress, increased toxin levels, inflammation and autonomic nervous system imbalance. Paired with yoga, the oils support the body and mind move toward a holistic state of being.

After we flow you will then settle into a supported savasana while being bathed in the sounds of Tibetan singing bowls that we brought back from Nepal. Since the space was once a church it has amazing acoustics.

About the Modern Sanctuary Space

It is a 6bd/7ba historical church renovation where gorgeous eclectic design meets modern comfort. Tastefully decorated and situated in the historic Whittier neighborhood, this converted 100-year-old, mission-style church. Amplifying all the Mile High City has to offer, we will stay in luxury and leave divinely inspired.

It is one of the region's most unique, spacious and artistically-designed accommodations. It was meticulously renovated in 2017, the space retains the charm and select architectural elements of the original structure while taking on a whole new vibe.

You may join the retreat events (and stay in your own home) or stay on site in one of the six private ensuites (two upstairs, four downstairs, each uniquely-themed). It has a sprawling main floor with designer kitchen, the space is perfect for our New Year's Winter Solstice Retreat.

The magic doesn't stop there: upstairs, you'll find a 550sqft loft lounge, making a grand entrance to the main floor or just hanging out. The outdoor space is perfect, replete with in-line fire pit and custom seating. Downstairs, the vintage Rec room, furnished in classic mid-century modern/atomic furniture provides a great space for hanging out as well as access to the four lower suites.

Throughout, you'll be delighted by the eclectic style, unique art and bohemian, middle eastern-inspired decor. The space is purpose-built for our enjoyment and full of thoughtful details including an iPad-controlled home automation system that integrates lighting, audio and security throughout the property.

Winter solstice or Yule is a festival of light. It points out the beginning of longer days, after the shortest and darkest days of the season. It is widely understood to be a 12-day celebration that begins on the eve of the Winter Solstice, December 21st and ends at the New Year.
Historically the Winter Solstice is a time for slowing down, taking stock, and honoring the events of the previous year and also allow for the space to set intentions for the year to come.
